Meals On Wheels delivery is divided into routes within the city of Weatherford and in rural Parker County to provide the most time effective delivery for our volunteers. Most routes in Weatherford can be completed within one hour. Volunteers come to the Center to pick up their meals, starting at 10:00 A.M. and can leave the center with the meals and delivery instructions by 10:15 A.M. Driving directions and route information is provided to assist with successful and timely deliveries for each client. Volunteers are asked to report back to the Center if they are unable to make contact with a client on their list, so the staff can follow up with a wellness-check.
We cannot deliver Meals On Wheels without our volunteers. And our volunteers indicate that delivering to our seniors is both rewarding and satisfying. We all feel better when we help others. So feel better and give back – be a volunteer!
