In a unique partnership with Public Transit Services, Senior Transit offers free rides to seniors for trips to the Senior Center for lunch, bingo, health and wellness classes; to grocery stores and pharmacies; as well as trips to Walmart (Weatherford and Hudson Oaks) and more. As a small community with no fixed bus routes, Senior Transit can be a lifeline for those who depend on this service.

You must meet the following criteria to qualify for this service:
- Be over 60 years of age
- Live in Weatherford
- Need a ride within Weatherford (one way or round trip) between 7:00 AM-2:30 PM
Please call (817) 596-4640 Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM to schedule transportation service. Please allow for a 24-hour turnaround for a return call, so call at least one day ahead to schedule transportation service.

Meet Our Driver, Evan Gatewood!
Evan Gatewood has been the driver for PCCOA’s Senior Transit for the past four years, has driven thousands of miles, and has seen almost every inch of Parker County. Regarding his experience with the seniors, Gatewood says, “The wisdom; the advice; I always like to listen because they have experienced so much”, adding with a smile, “I have quite a few who say I am their adopted son.”
Gatewood comes from a long line of family in law enforcement at the Fort Worth Police Department and is currently taking courses needed to apply to the Academy. Until then, he says, “I look forward to expanding the transit services we provide to our seniors. With us being able to help seniors to their doors and give them the individual attention – it allows us to provide services for the seniors who sometimes need a little extra help”.
