Activities & Entertainment in Parker County

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic all activities at the Center have been canceled until further notice. Thank you for your understanding.
Both physical health activities and recreational activities take place at the PCCOA Center on a regular basis.
Please note: registration with the Center is required to participate in all activities. If you are not already registered, please call (817-596-4640) for information.
Hours of operation for the activities room are:
Monday & Friday 11:00AM to 2:00PM Tuesday & Wednesday 8:00AM to 2:00PM Thursday 8:00AM to 3:00PM

Food & Activities
- Lunch at the Senior Center
Lunch is served at the Senior Center, five days a week in a congregate setting. These meals meet 1/3 of the recommended daily allowance requirements for senior adults. Please see the menu page for specific times and menu items for the day. - Bingo
Free Bingo is held Monday through Friday from 12:30-1: 30 PM.
Prize donations are always welcome. - Haircuts by Pam
Once a month, hairstylist Pam Gomez of Hello Darlin' in Weatherford donates her time and provides free haircuts at the Senior Center. Please see the calendar for specific date and time.

Exercise
Exercise equipment is provided in the Center for individual exercise workouts. Special fitness videos are also available for groups. An ongoing exercise program is being planned for this year. Check the schedule or contact Michelle Hernandez.
- Line Dancing
All are welcome to join in on the line dancing fun. Line dancing takes place Thursday mornings at 9:00 AM. Please always check the calendar. - Yoga
Chair yoga classes with Megan Hamilton take place at 10:00 AM on Monday and Friday. This program is extremely popular! Other forms of yoga and exercise are in the planning stages.
Call (817) 596-4640 for pricing information and to reserve a spot. - Billiards/Pool/Shuffleboard
Pool tables, cue sticks, chalk and whatever you need is available for pickup games of pool. Shuffleboard is in-house for those interested as well. - Card Games – Bridge – Gin Rummy
The card games are not formally scheduled, though they usually take place in the afternoon, after lunch and are open to anyone interested. - Domino Games
Though not regularly scheduled, dominoes are available for anyone who wants to get a game going. Periodically a domino tournament is scheduled. Check the activities calendar or call the Activities Director, Michelle Hernandez.

Entertainment
Bands, singers, and a variety of other entertainers are scheduled 2 to 3 times a week. Please see the calendar.

Special Events
Throughout the year the Senior Center will host several events – that usually involve food. Types of events include cookouts in the summer, spaghetti dinners, special holiday dinners, celebrity meet & greets, special community fundraising events, and more. Check the activities calendar, the News section, or Special Events on the home page for information on upcoming events.
